There's no such file in the tar as *.xpt.
And anyway, this doesn't work for me. Ubuntu 7.10.
well it depends on the commands u run before, i.e. steps 1,2 and 3
Centos 5.1
No flashplayer.xpt
No nspluginwrapper
Same here for fc9 ...
try to install nspluginwrapper
Refer: http://gwenole.beauchesne.info/en/projects/nspluginwrapper/help
for ubuntu Linux u can install it directly from software repository, see this article.

Hello Shah,
Thank you so much for your help. I should have told you that mine is not Ubuntu but Redhat Enterprise Linux. Actually I installed the flash player on my system following your blog. Like I wrote before, I am able to see flash movies on youtube and everywhere else. But the problem is with sound. I tried to install flash-plugin using yum, but it says it has to have glibc2.4. Then I tired to update glibc to 2.4, but because of the incompatibility issues kernel got panicked and luckily some how I restored it to normal state. So if you do know how to fix this sound issue with flash player on redhat enterprise and if you could help me with that, I greately appreciate your help.
thanks,
Sreedhar.
